CURRICULUM VITAE OF JOHN E. SCHULMAN
John Schulman is the owner of The Schulman Law Firm, P. C., a Texas professional corporation, founded in 1986. He lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife, attorney Margaret Schulman and their son Nathan.
Since 1976, Mr. Schulman's practice, in Texas and Florida, has focused substantially on labor law, employment rights and personal injury claims. Mr. Schulman offers clients and consulting attorneys insights learned from over twenty-five years of trial and appellate experience, before numerous arbitrators, judges and juries in both state and federal courts.
Graduating with high honors and a degree in economics from the University of Florida in 1973, Mr. Schulman received his law degree from the same institution in 1976 and was admitted to practice in Florida later that year. He was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1978. Mr. Schulman is currently licensed to practice law in both Texas and Florida as well as all of the trial-level federal courts in Texas, the Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans and the Court of Federal Appeals in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Schulman's writings addressing labor, employment and litigation-related subjects have appeared in a number of periodicals and publications, including, among others, the University of Florida Law Review, the American Bar Association Labor Section Annual Reports, and the University of Houston Advanced Employment Law Seminar course materials. Mr. Schulman has accepted invitations to speak, and to teach professionally, throughout the United States.
Mr. Schulman's professional affiliations include memberships in the Texas Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, National Employment Lawyers Association, Texas Employment Lawyers Association and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, among others.
